IMEKO TC20: International Conference on Measurements of Energy

IMPORTANT:

Please note that guests of PTB need to sign in the reception building on the first day. There you will receive additional information about the PTB-campus, parking and directions. Please register also at the conference office upon first arrival. The office is located at the front entrance of the PTB seminar centre.

Once registered, you are allowed to enter the PTB the next days with your conference badge. The conference office is staffed during the entire symposium

Directions

The PTB is located northwest of Braunschweig inbetween the two districts Brauschweig-Kanzlerfeld and Braunschweig-Watenbüttel. These are the following options to reach the site:

By car: There are several motorway exits closeby from the west, east and south. Follow directions towards Watenbüttel and navigate to the PTB from there.

By train: High speed trains (DB-ICE) frequently stop at Braunschweig central station (Braunschweig Hbf.) The bus route 461 takes you directly to the PTB site taking roughly 30 minutes.

By plane: Closest Airports are Hannover (IATA - HAJ), Hamburg (IATA - HAM) , and Berlin (IATA - BER) airport. Use the train service to reach Braunschweig ( from Hannover 1 hrs, from Berlin 2.5 hrs)

Alternately, you can choose airport hoppers if you plan to arrive with 2 or more of your colleagues.

Visa Information

If you are traveling to attend our conference from another country, you may need to obtain a visa to enter the host country. Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality, the purpose of your visit, and the length of your stay.

To assist with your visa application, we can provide a letter of invitation to registered attendees upon request. Please email energy@ptb.de with your full name, mailing address, and registration confirmation number to request a letter of invitation.

Please note that the letter of invitation does not guarantee that you will be granted a visa, and we cannot be held responsible for any visa-related issues. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet all the necessary visa requirements and have the required documentation to enter the host country.

Braunschweig Main Station

Bus number 461 to "Lehndorf, PTB". Leave the bus at the "PTB" bus stop. The bus stop is located right in front of the main entrance to PTB.
